Q

Trench warfare: What was it? Why was it so terrible?

A

Trench warfare was when soldiers dug trenches in the ground to protect themselves and to surprise their enemies. The land between these Trenches is called No Man’s Land. This was terrible because these trenches were cold, wet and not sanitary. People died and got sick, people got infections, and most people got a disease and got trench foot.
