10) CT with Differientated Fibrous Flashcards
1
Loose connective tissue is very common and generally supports epithelial tissue
It comprises of tick layer lamina propria beneath the epithelial lining of the digestive system and fills the space between muscles and nerve fibres
Well vascularised whatever their location. Thin layers of loose CT surround most bV of the body
2
Loose CT contains cells, fibres and ground substances in roughly equal parts. The most numerous cells are fibroblasts but other types of CT cells are present along with nerves and blood vessels
Collagen fibres dominate but elastic and reconciler fibres are also present. With moderate amounts of ground substance, loose CT and has delicate consistency
It is flexible and non resistant to stress
