Q

Why does SVP help to relieve poverty?

A
  • SVP gives things up because in Mark’s gospel, Jesus told the rich man that we should give up everything we have and give it to the poor, as you don’t need to be rich to have salvation
  • in Matthew’s gospel God said ‘whatever you did for the least of my brothers of mine, you did for me.”
  • in Luke’s gospel, Jesus told us in the Good Samaritan parable, that we should ‘Love your neighbours as yourself’.
