Q

What happens when temperature increases

A

When you increase temperature it makes the particles move faster and volume stays the same
It has two effects:
- Hit the wall harder
- They hit more often
Both increase pressure

Q

What happens when you reduce the volume?

A

Reducing the volume increases pressure
because particles are squashed up into a smaller space so they’ll hit the wall more often

Q

Why does the smell diffuses slowly

A

The smell diffuses slowly because of particles bumping into air particles which stops them from making a forward progress and often sends them in a completely different direction
