Destruction of the drug into an inactive form.
Elimination
Removal of drug from the body.

the practice of taking five or more
medications.
Miscibility
2 or more products form a homogeneous mixture when combined. Compounded products are compatible. Mixes completely.

Must wait 48hrs.
Solubility
the ability of any drug
(solid, liquid, or gas) to dissolve in a
solvent.

Same active ingredient, strength, dosage form, route of administration
Pharmaceutical Alternatives
Same therapeutic moiety (active molecule), different dosage form, different salts, Esters, complexes.
Ex. Tetracycline hydrochloride and Tetracycline phosphate
Bioequivalents
Reaches systemic circulation at same relative rate and to the same extent. (Absorbs the same)
