Segments and Intervals Flashcards
What is the P wave
Atrial Depolarisation
What is the PR segment
Electrical impulse being help at the AV node
What is the PR interval
Start of atrial depolarisation (p wave) to the start of ventricular depolarisation (QRS) complex
What is the QRS complex
Ventricular depolarisation
What is the ST segment
Section from end of ventricular depolarisation to the start of ventricular repolarisation
What is the T wave
Ventricular depolarisation
What is the QT interval
Time from the start of the ventricular depolarisation to the end of ventricular repolarisation
What is the RR interval
Time between each complex (dependent on rate)
How long is the PR interval
3-5mm
(120 - 200 ms)
How long is the QRS interval
2-3mm
(80 - 110/120 ms)
How long is the QT interval
<440 ms in men
<460 ms in woman
What is the J point
Start of ST segment
If the J point is above the isoelectirc line then it is STEMI
If the J point is lower than the isoelectric line then it is NSTEMI
