Cylindrical structure that holds the ocular lenses

Rotating disc where the objectives are attached
Rotating nosepiece
Lies atop the nosepiece that keeps dust from settling on the objectives
Dust shield
Used when using scanner and low power objective lens (the big one)
Coarse adjustment knob
Used when using high power and oil immersion objective lenses (the small one)
Fine adjustment knob
Provides low magnification and a wide field of view for initial scanning
Scanner
Lowest magnification if scanner is not present
Low Power Objective or LPO
Provides higher magnification
High Power Objective or HPO
