How can we check that timing of administration is ok with biphasic insulin?

Answer 1

• Check capillary blood glucose regularly - before and after meals
• Any symptoms of hypoglycaemia?
• Try and aim for 4-9mmol/L of glucose throughout day
• Usually taken up to 10 minutes before or after meal
