Where do you locate the emergency disconnect kit for the dailysis machine?
What are you clamping prior to disconnecting?
Generally, emergency disconnect kit with materials and instructions can be found hanging from dialysis machine or nearby on the wall
Ensure both the patient side and machine side of the connection are clamped before
disconnecting and attaching end caps

What’s best practice?
What do you do if there are no instructions availiable?
use the materials and instructions that are typically found in the disconnect kit
the tubing should be clamped first on the patient side, secondly on the machine side, and finally separated in the middle
