Spatial distribution of land cover Flashcards

1

Q

Natural + Semi-Natural Vegetation

A

made up of bother natural + semi-natural. natural vegetation is developed as a result of the interconnection between climates, soils, hydrology, landforms etc. Semi-natural is influenced by human activity.
eg. Natural vegetation of coastal northern Qld

Q

Artificial Water Bodies, Snow + Ice

A

dams on rivers form resivours of water or artificial bodies of water that serve urban, industrial or rural needs.
eg. Lake Nasser = daming Nile river at Aswan in Egypt
