Delusions
unrealistic ideas or beliefs
Derealization
Altered perception of the environment; Patient verbalizes the environment feels strange or unreal; A feeling that the surroundings have changed
Auditory

hearing sounds that aren’t real, like music, footsteps or doors banging. Some people hear voices when no one has spoken.
Persecutory
(DELUSIONS)
the belief that someone is mistreating , spying on, or is out to get them

the belief that ordinary events , objects, or behaviors of others have particular and unusual meanings specifically for oneself- the movie on the TV is about my life
Depersonalization
Altered perception of self. Patient verbalizes feeling outside the body or visualizes him/herself form afar.
Hallucinations
A false perception of objects or events involving your senses: sight, sound, smell, touch and taste
Tactile

Feeling a touch or movement on your body that’s not real. May involve feeling like bugs are crawling on your skin or your internal organs are moving around
Nihilistic
(DELUSION)
The belief that you or parts of you do not exist, or has been destroyed
Olfactory
(HALLUCINATION)
Experiencing smells that don’t exist or that no one else can smell
Illusions
Misperceive or misinterpret real stimuli within the environment; sees something and thinks it is something else
Visual
(HALLUCINATION)
Seeing things that aren’t real, like objects, shapes, people, animals or lights
Grandiose
(DELUSION)
An overinflated sense of self worth , power, knowledge, or identity. They may believe they have a great talent or have made an important discovery
Gustatory
(HALLUCINATION)
Tastes that are strange or unpleasant; many times, involves a metal-like taste
Influence or Control
(DELUSION)
A belief that his or her behavior and thoughts are being controlled by external forces
