Hundreds and thousands of. Christian’s have disappeared here but it is suspected that 200,000 to 400,000 still live there. 25% of these Christian’s are in prison camps and are forced to difficult work in terrible conditions. They are also tortured. There has also been reports of Christian’s being publicly executed. All of this is because Christina’s refuse to worship the countries leader Kim Jong-un. North Korean authorities try to keep their persecution a. Secret from the outside world and have been known to place actors in churches to make I seem as though religious freedom is allowed.

Myanmar

A

In 2007 a reported appeared in Myanmar called ‘the programme to destroy the Christian religion in Burma’. It is thought that the report came from the government. The first line of the report was ‘ there will be no home where the Christina religion is practiced. It then gave guidance on how to get rid of Christianity saying ‘it is gentle religion-utilise its weaknesses, the guidance said anyone spreading the Cristian message should be put in prison. In recent years there have been reports of churches being burned down. Christina’s are persecuted because the leader wants the country to follow the official religion-Buddhism. Many Christian’s have been driven out of their home and in 2010 there was a helicopter attack on Christian areas that killed thousands

Iraq(Baghdad )

A

Christianity has probably existed here since the 1st century. But today Christian’s live in constant fear of violence. There are 65 churches in the capital city of Baghdad . Since 2003 40 of theses have been bombed a least once. In 2010 a militants group entered a Catholic Church and killed 58 people including the preist. On Christmas Day 2013 2 Gombe were dropped. One next to a church worshipping killing 24 people and one next to a market killing 11 people. In 1991 there were approximately 1.5 million Christian’s now there is as little as 150,000. Some have fled but most killed
