Palm Sunday
Jesus returned to Bethlehem on a donkey and people laid palms in sign of triumph and victory as God said the Messiah would come and he did.
Monday of Holy Week
Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling. He overturned the tables.
Tuesday of Holy Week
Jesus spent the day preaching and praying in the synagogue. Jewish leaders were plotting against him.
Wednesday of Holy Week
Judas goes to the Pharisee and agrees to betray Jesus and is paid 30 silver coins.
Holy Thursday
Also known as Maundy Thursday, this was the day before his crucifiction and he had the Last Supper. During the meal Jesus took bread and wine and shared them with the disciples.
Good Friday
Jesus was trialed and sentenced to death by the Roman Empire. He was forced to carry a cross which read on top: INRI which meant ‘King of the Jews’.
Holy Saturday
Jesus was laid in the tomb after his death. It is the day after Good Friday and is also known as Easter Eve.
Easter Sunday
Celebrating the Easter Vigial and the Sharing of Eggs for the occasion representing life.
