March ‘32: elections between Hindenburg & Hitler; no majority vote
Apr. ‘32: re-elections; Hindenburg wins
May ‘32: Bruning sacked & replace by Von Papen
July ‘32: Reichstag elections; Nazis win 38% of all votes
Nov. ‘32: Von Papen calls new elections; hopes Nazi votes will decrease & they DO
Dec ‘32: Von Papen resigns
Schleicher appointed as chancellor to prevent H. from occupying pos.
Jan ‘33: H. sworn in as chancellor; with Von Papen as vice-chancellor
