Arrests not requiring a 61 PATT D PIL
Park regulations Administrative/Health codes (summonsable) Tresspas (violation& 3rd degree Theft of services Disorderly conduct Prostitution Intoxication in Public other than alcohol Loitering Except gambling requires a 61
Refer Case to Pct Detective Squad for the following:
-any offense and victim suffers SPI including assault
-Robbery,
✅where a firearm or dangerous instrument was used
✅ the Victim is a Senior Citizen (60 years or older)
Burglary:
✅person present or
✅property valued over 5K (10k in Manhattan) was taken or
✅firearm or safe invloved
-crime was committed in a uniqur modus operandi
-cv victim of the same crime withing the last 6 months
-perp may be identified or is known
- cv or offense committed, may create unusual community or police interest
-impersonation of a police officer or other law enforcement officer
-Identity Theft
-Other complaints as deemed necessary by competent authority
Refer complaint to FINANCIAL CRIMES TASK FORCE:
- Identity theft related Larceny where loss is valued at 5000 or more
- pattern involving more than one NYPD precinct
- Any case where their expertise, equipment and resources are most appropriate.
MAJOR CASE UNIT
-Burglary or attempt of a bank or bank safe
-larceny or extortion ir attempt, from a bank
-Robbery or attempt of a bank and perpetrator not armed (simulated gun, threatning note)
- Burglary of a truck contents over 100k
-Larceny of a truck contents over 100k
- Robbery of a Truck and contents by Hijacking
-All robberies in warehouse depots or similar locations where the object of the crime is a truck or its contents
- all commercial burglaries in which the value of the property stolen EXCEEDS 100k
Art Theft
Send hard copy (no telephone notification) of 61 or omniform complaint revision to SPIS via dept mail or fax, in the following instaces:
✅Jewelry containing initials, inscriptions or other identifying marks or individual pieces of jewelry, if value exceeds 5K or an item of jewelry contains 10 Stones or carats.
✅other articles that contain initials, inscriptions,or other identifiable markings.
✅all coins or stamp collections valued at more than 5K
✅silverware if value exceeds 5K
✅all paintings or art objects
✅any furcoat valued at more than 5K
✅any property taken in a hijacking
