distinct period of time during which there is an abnormally and persistently elevated, irritable mood

Major Depressive Disorder- an all encompassing low mood accompanied by low self esteem and loss of interest in normally enjoyable activities
Panic Disorder
repeated attacks of intense fear that something bad will occur when not expected
Paranoia
Process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear often to the point of irrationality and delusion
PTSD
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder- type of anxiety disorder that can occur after seeing or experiencing a traumatic event involving the threat of injury or death
Schizoaffective Disorder
recurring episodes of elevated or depressed mood or simultaneous with distortion in perception
Schizophrenia
mental disorder with breakdown of thought processes and by poor emotional responsiveness which makes it difficult to tell the difference between real and unreal experiences
Substance Abuse
Maladaptive pattern of use of a substance that is not considered dependent
Polydipsia

Diabetic Ketoacidosis- high blood sugar due to under-production of insulin or cells don’t respond to insulin that is produced

Finger Stick Blood Sugar- test glucose level in blood
Hemophilia
group of bleeding disorders in which blood takes long to clot
Hyperthyroidism
thyroid make too much thyroid hormone
