287 roster staffing

Units will be placed in five groups to provide the following levels of staffing. What are the 5 groups and how many FF’s are in each co. in that group?

groups 1,2,3 have 5 FF’S
GROUP 4 HAS 4 FF’s
group 5 is for special units.

L-159 loses they’re roof man during the tour due to an illness. They receive a phone alarm for fire in a MD. What should the officer do while responding?

When members are detailed to other qtrs. do they have the option of walking and if so what is the criteria?

YES. if the other qtrs. are w/in approx. 20 blocks or 1 mile. if its more than 1 mile they do not have the option to walk. 9.2

Your the boss of L-159 and just got your dick kicked in at a ripping job where most of your company tapped out. Your left w/ yourself & 2 FF’s. Can you respond to alarms?

YES. must have a minimum of 2 FF’s and shall respond to all alarms.

Units w/ only a officer & ecc/lcc shall be placed OOS. However they shall respond to all verbal alarms received while in qtrs. & take a defensive position unless life is in immediate peril. ADD.1 2.5
