How do you solve an inequality?
A
An inequality with one unknown can be solved similarly to an equation. The unknown is isolated to one side of the inequality and the same number can be added or subtracted from both sides of the inequality, or both sides of the inequality can be multiplied or divided by a positive number without changing the truth of the inequality. Multiplying or dividing by a negative number reverses the order of the inequality.
