Sebaceous glands - produces sebum to lubricate and waterproof the skin
Eccrine glands - produce sweat to assist in Thermoregulation
Apocrine gland - produces sweat when you are under emotional stress. It is odourless before mixing with bacteria on the skin. May contain sexual characteristics

2 types of melanization that occurs and explain the processes

A

Temp tanning - short exposure to the sun causing the skin to darken immediately but fade within a few hours or days
Long lasting tanning - occurs 3-4 days after sun exposure. It can last from several weeks to months and is maintained from repeated exposure to the sun.
