If a call is holding over 90 minutes, What must a supervisor do?

A

If the call continues to hold in excess of 90 minutes, it is the responsibility of the area sergeant to contact the person reporting and advises of the extended delay and/or offer other possible resolutions, i.e. hold for next available unit or request a unit from a neighboring area to assist.

When a call is holding too long who’s responsibility is it to call the P/R, Victim, etc?

A

The area sergeant will contact the Person Reporting to advise of the extended delay and update the event detailing the reason for the extended delay via telephone call, radio broadcast, or MDT. The area sergeant will continue to utilize all resources to have a unit respond to the call.
