Q

What happens in elongation?

A

RNA polymerase frees itself. A 5’ protective cap is added. RNA polymerase copies DNA. Other protons splice out introns.

Q

What happens in termination?

A

at the polyadenylation site , the termination sequence is recognized. A polyA tail is added to the end of the new RNA strand
