  3. So more eroded material is DEPOSITED on the INSIDE of the bend, forming SLIP-OFF slopes

  1. When the outside bends get closer and closer until there’s only a small bit of land left between the bends (NECK)
  2. The water breaks through, the river flows the SHORTEST ROUTE
