It contains satellite undifferentiated cells and ground substances. There is a lack of fibres
Under specific stimuli the cells differentiate into the cells of the ct: fibroblasts, chondroblasts, osteoblasts, and adipoblasts

Mucous CT has an abundant abundance of ground substance rich in hyaluronic acid and its jelly like tissue contains few collagen fibres type 1 and 3
The cells in CT are mainly fibroblasts. It is found in the umbilical cord and is called Wharton’s jelly and in the pulp of young teeth
