differences in the three stories

alfredo falls in love with carolina but carolina does not fall in love with him; carlos falls in love with rosa and rosa has a mutual love with him

el matadero has no aspect of love

el amor secreto is less political than the other stories

the point of view in el amor secreto begins with someone we do not know but changes to the perspective of alfredo, and we receive the feelings and thoughts of alfredo; el matadero and rosa have an objective narrative
