By pulling on the firing pin if it is cocked, you should feel spring tension.

Denatured alcohol.

No smaller than 1/16 inch.

84 inch pounds + or - 12 inch pounds.
How can you ensure the cartridge is installed all the way in the chamber of a spreader gun?
The top of the cartridge should be approximately even with the top edge of the chamber.
Where should the sealing compound be applied to on the spreader gun cartridge?
On the top two treads of the cartridge.
What is the service life of the static line cutter assembly?
4 years from the date of manufacture.
What is the service life of a spreader gun cartridge?
6 years 3 months from the date PIS and 9 years from the DOM.
When is the firing pin test performed on a spreader gun assembly?
Each time the spreader gun cartridge is replaced.
What torque is the swivel bolt on the “C” clamp used to hold the spreader gun tightened to?
7 foot pounds + or - 1/2 foot pound.
How many times is the aneroid closure test performed on each actuator during a chute repack cycle?
Three.
The actuator must pass how many tests, with + or - how many feet?
3 and 1,000 feet.
What is used to clean the actuator assembly?
A lint free cloth.
Can a parachute rigger make adjustments to the aneroid of the 7000 series actuator?
No.
If the actuator is out of specifications, what must be done with it?
Turned into supply.
