A

On ulnar side of the ring finger, approximately 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail bed. PO 0.1-0.2 inch or prick to cause bleeding.

N: Branch of the ulnar nerve

TW 4 - Source point

A

At the wrist joint in the depression on the radial side of the extensor digiti minimi tendon. Best located with wrist and fingers in extension. PP 0.3 inch or PO -0.3-0.5 inch proximally or PSq 0.5-1.0 inch radially beneath tendons.

N: Branch of the ulnar nerve

C: None

I: Tinnitus

A

2 cun proximal to TW 4 between the radius and the ulna, on the radial side of the extensor digitorum communis muscle. PP 0.7-1.0 inch toward PC 6 or obliquely 0.5-1.5 inch.

N: Posterior and anterior interosseous nerves.

A

When elbow is flexed, point is in depression 1 cun superior to the tip of the olecranon. PP 0.5-1.0 inch.

A

Posterior and lateral to the acromion of the scapula, in the depression about 1 cun posterior to LI 5. When the arm is abducted to 90 deg, the point is in the depression appearing at the posterior border of the lateral end of the acromion. PP in abduction 0.5-1.0 inch or obliquely inferior toward the elbow 1.0-2.0 inch.

N: Branch of axillary nerve

C: None

I: Pain in the shoulder and arm

A: Relieves pain

A

Behind the lobule of the ear, in the depression between the mandible and the mastoid process. PP 0.5-1.0 inch toward the opposite ear.

C: External jugular vein, internal and external carotid artery

A

In the depression anterior to the supratragic notch, just superior to the condyloid process of the mandible. Point best located with mouth open. Directly above SI 19 which is directly above GB 2. PP 0.5-1.0 inch.

M: Facial nerve and branches of the auriculotemporal nerve.

C: Superficial temporal artery and vein.
