SHIRLEY STRAIGHT: All I ask is that you hear my vision for it. My pitch, if you will. Here me out. We fade in on Bouncy Bunny. She’s animated. Big eyes. Big heart. And as she walks up a hill, she open her mouth… and sings!
DISNEY SINGING BUNNY: (To the tune of “Go The Distance” from Hercules:)
I have often dreamed of a far-off place,
Where a Bunny’s welcome would be waiting for me,
Where I’ll find other Bunnies, and they’ll see my face.
And a voice keeps saying, “This is where I belong!”
I am on my way, I can go the distance.
I don’t care how far, I don’t care how strange.
I’ll go mile after mile, and mile after mile.
I would go most anywhere just to prove that I can change.
MARY: Yes! Bouncy Bunny was never supposed to be cute! She was original, and spunky! And weird! You’re not at all what my mom said she was.
DISNEY BUNNY: And you don’t want a Bunny who will sing! Siiiiiinnnngggg!!
MARY: No! Stop it! None of you are the Bouncy Bunny I want!
DISNEY BUNNY: But don’t you want a Bunny whose songs make you cry?!
JACKED BUNNY: And extreme energy!
DISNEY BUNNY: And remember that art is subjective. So even if you don’t like a version of us, someone out there does. In fact, to millions of people, I’m the preferred version of Bouncy Bunny.
