Adult Resus - Bradycardia - 2025/04/17 Protocols Flashcards
2022.03.01: - removed "2mA" Version - 2020.10 (14 cards)
Adult bradycardia atropine
1 mg IV
Epinephrine in bradycardia un-responsive to atropine or TCP.
2 mcg/min
Versed in procedural sedation for adult transcutaneous pacing
0.05 mg/kg IV/IO/IN
Pain management for adult transcutaneous pacing
Ketamine 1 mg/kg IV/IO or 2.5 mg/kg IM
(as needed to maintain sedation/analgesia throughout pacing)
AND/OR
Fentanyl 1 mcg/kg IV/IO up to 100 mcg
Max single dose of Fentanyl for TCP in adults?
100 mcg
TCP may be used immediately in the adult bradycardia patient in what situations?
High grade block that will not responds to atropine.
TCP in the adult bradycardia patient begins at what rate and amperage?
70 BPM and 2 mA
Max dose of epinephrine in the adult bradycardia patient unresponsive to TCP or atropine.
10 mcg/min
Max total atropine dose in adult bradycardia
3 mg
Repeat atropine timing for adult bradycardia
repeat q5 min
How do you mix epinephrine for adult bradycardia
2 mg of 1:1,000 epi in 250 mL of D5W
In addition to high grade SA blocks, what other condition may result in a lack of response when giving atropine?
Heart transplant (de-innervation of SNS at the SA node)
After electromechanical capture occurs in the adult, what should be done with TCP?
Increase mA by 5-10 mA
