Damage: You get called out to an aircraft to look at a dent. Be able to talk about the process you go through.

A

· Old damage / New Damage

· Damage assessment : Type of damage, Location, demission’s of damage

· Check SRM Limit

· Within Limits Damage chart, SDR, TAQ Update Log, DDR for NDT/repeat inspections etc.

· Outside limits – SDR and go out to LHT for CRAS or perform a SRM Repair

What is your understanding of human factors?

A

It is a understanding of human performance and what factors/conditions can cause a reduction in performance, ie sleep, diet, light, weather, Re-training is required every 2 years under EASA regulations to insure engineers are aware of human factors that can affect their performance and to help identify signs of performance issues with colleagues.

Why do we have continuation training?

A

It is an EASA requirement for aircraft maintenance staff and is used as a medium to update staff on new procedures and review incidents that occurred in the previous 2 years.
