1st Amendment
Freedom of speech, press, assembly, petition, and religion.
2nd Amendment
The right to bear arms, the right to join a militia.

Double jeopardy, cannot be forced to testify against yourself or your spouse, entitled to due process (Habeas corpus) eminent domain.
6th Amendment
Right to a speedy trial in criminal cases, trial by jury, right to know the charges against you, right to hear the witness against you, right to a lawyer.
7th Amendment
Right to a jury in civil cases, must be at least $20.00.
8th Amendment
Forbids cruel and unusual punishment, sees limit for bail.
9th Amendment
Rights listed in the Constitution are not a person’s only rights.
10th Amendment
Any powers not specifically given to the federal government are reserved for the states and/or people.
11th Amendment
Places limit on suits against states- says when a state can be sued.
12th Amendment
Elect the president and vice president together.
13th Amendment
Abolished slavery and indentured servitude.
14th Amendment
If you are born in the US, you are a citizen, all citizens are equal.
15th Amendment
Prohibits the denial of voting rights based on a person’s race, color,, or previous condition of servitude.
