Q

the ontological argument

A

1) the fool says there is no god
2) but the fool, the athiest, agrees that god by definition is something than which nothing greater can be thought. he agrees that the idea of god exists
3) the fool understands what he hears and what he understands exists in his understanting (even if he does not understand that it exists in reality, outside the mind)
4) but, the being which exists in hi mind alone cannot be “that which nothing greater can be thought” (god)
5) for, it i greater or a thing to exist in reality than for it to exist only as an idea in the mind
6) god must by necesity exist both withina nd outside the mind (or god would not be god)
7) this being cannot be thought not to exist
