Tinea corporis resistant to topical tx

50-200mg daily, up to 400mg daily
150mg as a single dose

FBC, liver function, anaphylaxis, QT interval prolongation, peripheral neuropathy (long term use), renal function

1 lozenge (10mg) QID for 7-14 days

Griseofulvin

A

Dermatophyte infection of scalp, skin, nails where topical tx has failed or inappropriate

500mg daily for 4-6 weeks (skin, scalp)
1g daily for up to 12 months (nails)

FBC, hypersensitivity, additional contraception during and 4 weeks after

A

Dermatophyte infection of the skin, groin, feet where topical tx is ineffective or inappropriate

250mg daily (up to 6-12 weeks for nails)
