what is inducible resistance?

A

genetic resistance to clindamycin that the bacteria is not expressing. if you tease the bacteria with any of the drugs then the gene will turn on and express its true nature of being resistant. ,

What are options for treating MRSA/MRSP in dogs (topical)

A

chlorhexidine, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar and water, gentamicin beads, regional, mupirocin but important in human med, fusidic acid (fuciderm gel) but resistence emerges early, unpasteurized honey (careful of botulism)
don’t forget about soap and water to reduce bacterial loads! remember clients don’t want goopy animals
