  • William Paley said that just like a watch there must be a designer behinds it, therefore, showing existence in god as there must be a stronger and much bigger designer for the world/universe/DNA
  • proving there is a god, the universe has a beginning then something must have caused it, it did not happen by accident, brought the Universe into existence

  • moral evil is the actions done by humans which cause suffering, however natural evils are things which cause suffering but have nothing to do with humans, e.g earthquakes
  • this could be because god is simply not powerful enough to stop all evil

  • “God works in special ways” so he has a reason for letting suffering and evil happen
