Q

what does carbohydrates mean?

A
  • contains carbon; oxygen; hydrogen
    e. g :glucose is a simple sugar
  • long chains of simple sugars
  • 2 glucose molecules that join together is a disaccharide (maltose)
  • it is a polysaccharide ; eg: cellulose; starch & glycogen
