Community
A group of interdependent organisms of different species growing or living together in a specified habitat.
Habitat
The natural home or environment of an animal, plant or organism.
Population
A community of plants, animals or human among whose members interbreeding occurs
Biome
A large group of organisms occupying a large habitat
Hypothesis
Proposed explanation that you can test.
Experiment
A scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact.
Control
What stays the same in an experiment.
Ecosystem
A biological community of organisms interacting and their physical environment.
Carrying capacity
The amount of organisms or crops a region can support without environmental degration.
Population density
Organisms living (per unit) in a certain area.
Zero population growth
The maintenance of a population at a constant level by limiting the number of live births to that needed to replace the existing population.
Pioneer species
The first organism to live in that area.
Climax community
A stable and totally evolved and adapted environment.
Greenhouse effect
Trapping of the suns heat in the planets lower atmosphere.
Producer
Anything that makes its own food.
