Muscles attach to the bones and provide levers for movement

Long Bones
Tubular shell with a cavity in the middle
Ex. Humerus, femur
Short Bones
Small bones with no bone marrow
Ex. Carpals bone/tarsals (wrist and ankles)
Flat Bones
Flat and thin bones with no marrow cavity
Ex. Skull, scapula, ribs
Irregular Bones
Weird looking bones that have no marrow cavity
Ex. Vertebra
Sesamoid Bones
Small, flat bones wrapped within a tendon
Ex. Patella knee cap
Ligament
Bone to bone
Tendon
Muscle to bone
