Q

What is a box plot?

A
  • A box plot illustrates a data set by showing the median and quantiles of a set of data as well as the highest and lowest values.

Q

What are the advantages of box plots?

A
  • shows range, interquartile range, median and consistency
  • shows the extent of how much data is skewed/leans in a particular direction
  • useful for comparing 2 or more sets of data at a glance

Q

What are the disadvantages of box plots?
