Origins and importance of baptism
John the Baptist baptising Jesus was the origin of baptism in christianity. Baptism is where you get dunked into water as a way to clean your sins and start your life anew in church. Almost all Christian churches teach about the importance of baptism and accept one baptism, no matter which Church one is baptised in.
Why was jesus baptised
To set an example.
What is believers baptism
Baptism that takes place as a sign that someone
has chosen to be a follower of Jesus. This form of baptism usually
involves the practice of immersion.
WHat is emersion
Where the believer is completely lowered into the
water, imitating the baptism of Jesus and done as a sign of leaving
behind the old sinful life and rising out of the water to a new life in
Christ.
