OT 3 days/week for 4-8 weeks; progress METS levels; weight training;
What happens during phase. 3 - community ?
physician referral; stress test; continue phase 2
What are the pulmonary diagnoses?

What is emphysema?
alveoli rupture or enlarge - lose elasticity
What is chronic bronchitis?
long-term inflammation of the bronchioles with dyspnea
What does OT eval look like?
- ADL assessment, noting ROM, muscle strength, sensation, cognition, and psychosocial status
- Monitoring of heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
- Daily activity interview
- Evaluation of the need for adaptive equipment
What does OT intervention look like for pulmonary?
rest breaks; keeping up O2 saturation; pursed lip breathing and diagraphagmtic breathing; EU strengthening; community adaptation; stress management; energy conservation; increasing endurance
