Q

How do you read an ECG (the Khogali method)

A

Verify patient details
Check date / time of ECG
Check calibration of ECG paper
Determine axis
Determine rhythm - electrical activity present? rhythm regular? HR? P waves present? PR interval? Each P wave followed by QRS? Normal QRS duration?
Look at individual leads for voltage criteria changes +/- any ST or T-wave changes
