A

hard to say what people thought of the restoration of Catholicism

  • the restoration was very fast, suggesting it was supported
  • persecution of protestants was reduced towards the end of her reign, which suggests that the policies were successful
  • she did not time to consolidate her Catholic rule, however, due to her untimely death
