What are the two types of Statistics?
1) Descriptive
2) Inferential
Descriptive vs Inferential
Descriptive: Methods to view a given dataset
Inferential: Methods using sample results to infer conclusions about a larger population
Variable
Any characteristic that is recorded for subjects in a study
Categorial vs Numerical Data
Categorial cannot assume a numeric value
Discrete vs Continuous
Discrete only certain values with nothing in between
Continuos is any numerical value over a certain interval
