A system that runs a companies business admin processes behind the scenes

A transaction processing system deals with the routine day to day transactions of an organisation

A document management system can be used to control the flow, storage and retrieval of all documents
What is a management information system?
A management information system concerts data from internal and external sources into information. This is communicated in an appropriate form to managers at different levels
What is an executive information system?
An EIS provides aggregated information for senior managers
What is an enterprise resource planning system?
An ERP system is an integrated suite of software apps that support and automates business processes in large businesses.
What is a customer relationship management system?
A CRM system allows businesses to collect update and maintain all of its customer data in a centralised location
What is a decision support system?
A decision support system converts raw data from a variety of sources into information that will be used to make high quality decisions and identify and solve problems
