Simple Interest:

A

I=prt
Interest= principal•rate•time: R(T) has to be comparable.
Only calculate once.
Ex. 1 mo=1/12 year 8 mo=8/12 year, 12 mo=1 year,
And
18 mo=18/12=1.5 years, 24 mo= 2 years.

A= amount of the solution.
R= percent concentration of substance

Remember turn mins in to factions.
Ex. 15 mins=1/4, 30 mins=1/2, 45 mins=3/4, 1 hour= 1 or 1.0

Move the decimal 2 # places to the left
Ex. 100%=1.00=1,
12.5%=.125, 
240%=2.40=2.4
5%=0.05=.05
