Plants can be categorized into 3 types. Which are they?
Herbs, Shrubs, and Trees.
Describe herbs
Plants with green and tender stems are called herbs.
Describe shrubs
The stem is hard but not very thick. Such plants are called shrubs.
Describe trees.
The stems have branches in the upper part, much about the ground. Such plants are called Trees.
Describe Creepers.
Plants with weak stems that cannot stand upright but spread on the ground are called Creepers.
Describe Climbers.
Plants with weak stems that take support and climb up are called Climbers.
Functions of stems..
Stem helps in the upward movement of water the 🍃 plants.
Parts of leaves.
Petiole, lamina, veins and midrib.
What is leaf venation? Name the two types of venations.
The design made by the veins in a leaf is called the leaf venation. The two types of venations are reticulate and parallel venation.
What is called Transpiration?
Water comes out of leaves in the form of vapour by a process called Transpiration.
What is called Photosynthesis
The process of leaves making their food by utilizing Carbon dioxide and water in the presence of Sunlight is called Photosynthesis.
In which process oxygen is given out?
Photosynthesis
Functions of roots
Roots help in holding the plant firmly to the soil.

What are called lateral roots?
They are the smaller roots attached to the tap root.
