15
Q

How much energy is used at each level of an energy pyramid and not passed on

A

90% is passed on and 10% is stored

16
Q

What animal is always at the top of the food chain

A

Predator

17
Q

Which of these could survive without being part of a food chain a strawberry plant, a chicken, or a dog

A

A strawberry plants because plants are producers and producers can make their own food so producers can survive without being in a food chain

18
Q

How is an energy pyramid different from a food chain

A

A food chain has arrows pointing to what each animal eats and an energy pyramid doesn’t

19
Q

How is a predator and a carnivore alike? How are they different?

A

They are the same because they both eat other animals. They are different because the predator might eat plants too.

20
Q

If soil is very dry in a forest with animals and plants are not growing what can you infer is happening to the consumers in this area?

A

I can infer that the consumers are not getting any food from the plants since plants need damp soil to grow. All the consumers are most likely to be eating only other animals.

21
Q

What do herbivores eat

A

Plants, Producers

22
Q

What term includes herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores?

A

The term consumers include herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores
