A

Maintains normal blood GLUCOSE levels
removes excess glucose and stores it as GLYCOGEN
when sugar levels become low, liver converts glycogen back into glucose (GLYCOGENESIS)
when body needs sugar, liver converts proteins and fats into glucose (GLUCOGNEOGENESIS)
