Crime Prevention through Environmental Design
This approach suggests that changes to a community’s physical environment in can change or reduce criminal activity in that area. Proponents of this approach believe that there is a direct relationship between the behaviour of people and their surroundings.

Human trafficking
Human trafficking is the forced displacement of individuals for exploitation (crime dramas have highlighted this type of activity, in which women from one or more countries are smuggled into another country and forced into prostitution).
Trafficking in human organs
Advances in medicine that allow people improved health and longer life through organ replacement has greatly increased the value of viable human organs. Unfortunately, the demand for organs exceeds the current supply.
Cyber crime
The term cyber crime refers to a wide range of crimes committed my means of computer technology. This category is an ever-increasing area of concern as computer technology continues to develop. This category of crime is extremely diverse; it includes property related offences, such as identity theft and credit card fraud; serious personal injury offences related to internet luring, kidnapping, and sexual assault; and corporate espionage, resulting from the use of computer viruses, hacking, and other acts intended to interrupt or impair the functioning of a business.
