Humerus
Upper arm bone, the head joins with the glenoid cavity of the scapula
How many bones are there in the upper limbs?
there are 60 bones and markings
Greater tubercle
The part of the humerus where the infraspinatus muscle attaches
Lesser tubercle
Part of the humerus where the teres major muscle attaches
Intertubercular sulcus/groove
Part of the humerus where the latissimus dorsi attaches
deltoid tuberosity
part of the humerus where the deltoid muscle attaches.
Medial epicondyle
Where the palmaris longus attaches
Lateral epicondyle
where the extensor carpi radialis longus muscle attaches
Trochlea
Part of the humerus that joins with the ulna (lower arm bone)
What is the ulna?
It is a lower arm bone that is located on the medial side of the arm
What is the olecranon tip of the ulna?
It is the part of the ulna that is the tip of the elbow. This is also the place where the triceps brachii attaches
What is the coronoid process of the ulna?
Its where the brachialis muscle attaches
What is the trochlear notch of the ulna?
Its an indentation at the top part of the ulna. It joins with the trochlea of the humerus
What is the styloid process of the ulna?
It is the most inferior part of the ulna, it is a pointy spot on the ulna.
Radius bone
It is the the lower arm bone that is on the lateral side
